Open Gate Zen Collective offers introductory classes on the first Monday of each month for those who wish to explore meditation and the foundations of Zen practice.
Two classes are available — Zen 101 and Zen 102 — each providing beginners with an overview of Zen Buddhism, including its history, core teachings, and the etiquette of the Meditation Hall (zendo). Participants will also receive guidance in Zen meditation (zazen): learning how to relax the body and mind, focus attention, and develop comfortable and stable meditation postures.
These classes are an excellent starting point for anyone curious about or new to Zen practice. Questions are always welcome!
Wear comfortable clothing.
